Conference Venue - Pan Pacific Perth

A message from the Pan Pacific Perth.

The West Australian government have seconded one of our 2 accommodation towers under the state of emergency act, as such returning Australians and support staff from health, police, army and security are restricted to this red zone only and cannot cross into the secure green zone. To access this area they have a completely different entrance and have use of their own lifts. Pan Pacific Perth recognises our responsibility to the government and will care for the returning Australians.

With reference to the Pan Pacific Green Zone, this is a completely separate area from the Red Zone. The West Australian Department of Health, WA Public Health and WA Police have endorsed this zone to operate as per normal. Areas which are covered in this zone are the executive accommodation rooms, Hotel Lobby, all Restaurants and Bar Facilities, our Banqueting floors and the gym/pool areas. Staff work in their respective zones and cannot cross over until we come off this quarantine program.

In terms of safety we take all necessary measures to ensure that all our guests and staff are protected, as such earlier in the year we implemented the Pan Pacific Cares program which covers all areas of cleaning and guest well-being. More information can be found here.

To conclude, we can guarantee that all delegates safety and security will be looked after. Currently we have Government Health Workers and Mining Executives that choose us over other hotels as we were highlighted as one of the safest accommodation providers in Perth.

Attending the Conference

Depending on the restrictions at the time of the conference, delegates will have the option of attending the conference in Perth or participating virtually.

If your initial purchase is a Face-to-Face registration but COVID-19 related Government restrictions prevent you from attending in May, you will be provided with the opportunity convert to a Virtual Registration.

As COVID-19 restrictions ease, you may wish to upgrade your registration from Virtual to Face-to-Face, this will be possible depending on venue capacity and Face-to-Face registration availability. Abstract presenters will be given first preference to register for the face-to-face conference in order to present.

Face-to-face delegates will have access to all of the content live in the venue as well as the virtual on demand content.

Virtual delegates will have access to and be able to participate in the live plenary sessions, and view the content on demand.

Conference Updates

What happens if restrictions increase?

Potential restrictions could mean that the hybrid conference is pivoted to a virtual only conference. This would mean that all delegates will access the content through the virtual portal and the conference would not proceed with the face-to-face component.

Delegates will be kept updated throughout the planning process and will be advised on how the conference will proceed depending on the restrictions.

More information can be found on our FAQ's page.

PHAA is regularly monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation in regards to hosting and attending a national face to face event including various travel restrictions, and will provide updates on the conference as they become available.
